Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy is an evidence-based form of treatment that is incredibly effective in helping individuals who are suffering from Borderline Personality Disorder. In most cases, the therapy consists of individual and group sessions with one or more accredited DBT therapists. The core objective of DBT revolves around using a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques to help patients learn techniques for emotionally regulating their responses to stress, distress tolerance and mindfulness. It has been found that through regular practice of these methods, individuals who suffer from BPD can begin managing the intense emotional pain associated with their disorder in a healthier and more successful way.
