Humanistic

Humanistic therapy takes a hopeful view of humanity, focusing on the realization and growth of each individual's potential. Instead of treating mental health problems simply as a symptom to be managed, this method is about discovering a better understanding of how our thoughts and emotions work. It also encourages clients to take an active role in discovering how to become their true selves for their own sake. This type of therapy includes concepts like existential therapy which looks at how individuals are responsible for their lives, client-centered therapy which focuses on validating the client's experience, and gestalt therapy which encourages dialogue between the therapist and client to get a holistic understanding of both. All these approaches have a common goal -- helping people live more meaningful and fulfilling lives.
