Person-Centered

Person-centered therapy is an approach that emphasizes the importance of the client's feelings and experiences. The therapist does not impose his or her personal views and instead takes a non-authoritarian role, lending their expertise to help the client discover their own solutions. This form of therapy recognizes that each person is unique and capable of recognizing and understanding their own needs, therefore allowing them to take a leading role in the therapy session. The therapist is also there to be supportive, providing guidance while also ensuring that they do not interfere with or derail the client's personal endeavors towards self-discovery. Person-centered therapy has proven to be effective in helping individuals gain emotional well-being and increased confidence.
